OneDrive (Microsoft Excel Online)
- Open OneDrive: Go to onedrive.live.com and log in to your Microsoft account.
- Find the File: Locate the Excel file in your OneDrive. Files shared with you will be visible in the shared section or within specific folders.
- View Version History:
- Right-click on the Excel file and select “Version history” from the context menu.
- You’ll see a list of versions and edits made to the file over time, similar to Google Drive.
- Click on a specific version to preview it or restore it.
Excel Desktop App (Shared Workbook)
If you’re using the desktop version of Excel and the file is shared as a shared workbook:
- Open Excel: Open the Excel file on your desktop.
- Review Changes:
- Go to the
Review
tab on the Ribbon. - Click on
Track Changes
and then selectHighlight Changes
. - In the dialog box, check the box next to “Track changes while editing. This also shares your workbook.”
- Optionally, you can select options for when changes are highlighted and how changes are displayed.
