Add a caption to a photo

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard:
    • Enter your website URL with /wp-admin at the end (e.g., yourwebsite.com/wp-admin).
    • Log in with your username and password.
  2. Navigate to the Media Library:
    • In the left sidebar, go to “Media” and then click on “Library.”
  3. Select the Image:
    • Find the image to which you want to add a caption and click on it.
  4. Edit Image Details:
    • In the image details screen, you’ll see fields like Title, Caption, Alt Text, etc.
    • Add your caption in the “Caption” field.
  5. Update the Image:
    • Scroll down to the bottom and click the “Update” button to save your changes.
  6. Insert the Image into a Post or Page:
    • If you haven’t already added the image to a post or page, go to the post or page editor.
    • Click on the (+) button to add a block, then choose “Image.”
    • Select your image from the Media Library.
    • The caption you added earlier will be displayed below the image in the editor.
  7. Preview or Publish:
    • Preview your post or page to see how the caption looks.
    • If everything looks good, you can publish your post or update the page.
