- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard:
- Enter your website URL with
/wp-admin
at the end (e.g.,yourwebsite.com/wp-admin
). - Log in with your username and password.
- Enter your website URL with
- Navigate to the Media Library:
- In the left sidebar, go to “Media” and then click on “Library.”
- Select the Image:
- Find the image to which you want to add a caption and click on it.
- Edit Image Details:
- In the image details screen, you’ll see fields like Title, Caption, Alt Text, etc.
- Add your caption in the “Caption” field.
- Update the Image:
- Scroll down to the bottom and click the “Update” button to save your changes.
- Insert the Image into a Post or Page:
- If you haven’t already added the image to a post or page, go to the post or page editor.
- Click on the (+) button to add a block, then choose “Image.”
- Select your image from the Media Library.
- The caption you added earlier will be displayed below the image in the editor.
- Preview or Publish:
- Preview your post or page to see how the caption looks.
- If everything looks good, you can publish your post or update the page.
